  Industry of Destruction
Jesus died to set men free from sin and suffereing.Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong;…That saith, I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cutteth him out windows; and it is cieled with cedar, and painted with vermilion. Shalt thou reign, because thou closest thyself in cedar… thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it. Jeremiah 22:13-17

These scriptures apply to those who make and or sell alcoholic beverages. The wages of the alcohol industry are robbery because every dollar “earned” has returned a curse to the spender rather than a blessing.

Billions and Billions of dollars buy wretchedness, disease, poverty, degradation, lust, crime, and death. For the sake of gain, those involved in the production or sale of alcoholic beverages deal out that which corrupts mind and body and leaves many a family in wretchedness, poverty, and worse.

Houses of prostitution, dens of vice, criminal courts, divorce courts, prisons, almshouses, insane asylums, hospitals, are filled with victims of the work of the liquor seller.

Day by day, month by month, year by year, the work goes on. Fathers and husbands and brothers, the stay and the hope and pride of the nation, are steadily passing into the liquor dealers haunts, to be sent back wrecked and ruined.

Who stands behind this great work of destruction? Certainly it is not the Lord Jesus Christ who died that men might be set free from sin and its devices. Christ’s great adversary, Satan, is the mastermind of this insidious work.

Every art that earth or hell can devise is used by the destroyer of souls to bring human beings under his power. In the city and the country, on trains, planes, and ships, in places of business, in sports arenas, in places of amusement, in the drugstores, and even in the church on the sacred communion table, Satan’s traps are set. Nothing is left undone to create and develop the desire for the soul destroying beverages.
